of silver engraving was introduced by Alfred Seaweed.

Susan Nottingham
was born in Victoria, B.C. and now lives in Vancouver
B.C. She graduated from eh Emily Carr College of Art and
Design in 1993 where she majored in sculpture and
painting. She is fascinated with subjects concerning
history, folklore, truth and myths from all cultures.
This old country rhyme is the one that was the
inspiration for these paintings. |

D. Finn
was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and spent his early year
in Star City. His mother was Cree-Huron and English Métis. He
enjoyed drawing the old Cree stories as a child. Later when he came
to Vancouver this interest moved him to learn Lithography. In the
early years, work took him to all part of B.C. He was introduced
to engraving while up in Prince Rupert and learned the trade over
the next five years. Bill met carvers and printmakers many of whom
became well known throughout the sixties and seventies. His
engraved Silver, Gold and Copper jewelry reflects family stories and
mythical tales of the North West Coast. Bill now lives in
Vancouver, B.C. and is apart of the Métis community. His work has
been purchased by people all over the world. |
